Hotel chain Travelodge is preparing for the peak summer season by hiring hundreds of staff across the UK.

With 579 hotels nationwide, including 41 in Scotland, the company is seeking to fill more than 400 positions, including 35 roles in Scottish hotels.

Travelodge, based in Thame, Oxfordshire, has been a prominent budget hotel chain in the UK since opening its first location in 1985. The company currently employs over 12,000 people in the UK, Ireland and Spain.

The 400 available jobs include full-time and part time roles with flexible working hours, making them suitable for parents and students.

Positions range from kitchen staff and bar team members to hotel team members, night reception team members and housekeeping team members.

For anyone with more experience, there are also vacancies for district managers and assistant hotel managers.

Travelodge has indicated that most of the 400+ vacancies need to be filled as soon as possible.

Launching the recruitment drive for hundreds of new staff, director of people operations at Katharine Gourley, Travelodge, said that most of the roles on offer would be a perfect fit for students:
