Maxim Facilities Management is creating 250 new full and part time vacancies in Sunderland and other parts of the United Kingdom.

Around half of the new cleaning and facilities management jobs will be based in the company’s home town of Sunderland. The remaining 125 vacancies will be spread across other parts of the UK.

Maxim Facilities Management currently employs around 1,500 staff after taking on 250 in the last twelve months. The latest hiring spree, to be completed before the end of 2025, will see a further 250 new recruits join the firm, adding over 16 per cent more to its headcount.

As well as Sunderland, the company has offices in Leeds, Swindon and North Lanarkshire and provides services in most parts of the UK, with the exception of the South East region.

Announcing the latest round of recruitment at his company, Graham Conway, the founder and managing director of Maxim Facilities Management, said: “We’ve been consistently able to create significant numbers of new jobs on the back of our growth, with continuing to build our expert team remaining central to being able to meet demand from new and existing clients.”

“We have an especially strong track record in successfully delivering flexible, tailored services within the education sector, which currently represents around half of our contract cleaning turnover. This is helping us compete for and secure major new seven figure contracts with institutions right across the country in competition with some of the industry's biggest national names.”

"We are well established as the North East's largest independent cleaning and facilities management firm and have a clear strategy in place that will take us to the next level by the end of next year,” added Mr Conway.

Maxim Facilities Management clients across both the public and private sectors include Durham Cricket, Kromek PLC, Quorn Foods, Salford College, the Scottish Prison Service and TRW.
