Almost 60 new full and part time warehouse jobs are set to be created in the Black Country following the approval of a development at a retail park in Walsall.

Walsall Council has given the go ahead for the new warehouse at Bescot Retail Park to consist of two units managed by Walsall Bescot RP Limited.

Announcing the recruitment drive for warehouse staff in Walsall, planning and development consultants Quod, who are agents at the development, said:

“The economic market has changed significantly since 2016, especially for retail and logistics which have seen contrasting circumstances, and the vacant floorspace within units 1 and 2 presents an opportunity to introduce employment floorspace to Bescot Retail Park.”

“Tangible economic benefits will arise from the grant of consent including the creation of up to 59 full time equivalent jobs, inward investments, gross value added and additional annual wages which will boost local spend and therefore the economy,” added the agent.
