A new development is set to create around 250 new full and part time jobs in Cheshire if planning permission is granted by the local council.

The site would be developed by Chancerygate on the Avro Business Park in the Adlington area of Cheshire and could consist of over 15,000 square metres of industrial and warehouse space.

The proposals include plans for 18 units at the site and Chancerygate say that 250 vacancies including warehouse jobs will be created by the development.

The site is very close to where the Poynton Relief Road will be completed before the end of the year so will have easy links to Manchester Airport.

Announcing the proposals, Chris Brown, the development director at Chancerygate, said: “We’re very pleased to have secured this strategic development opportunity in an off-market transaction with Quorum. The new £53 million Poynton Relief Road will be hugely beneficial to Avro Business Park. It will directly connect the development to the airport and the M56, providing excellent connectivity to the wider Cheshire and Manchester markets.”

“We know there is strong demand for multi-unit industrial space from a wide array of occupiers across south Manchester and the wider region. Avro Business Park will help to satisfy and facilitate this demand while enabling up to 250 jobs for the local area. We look forward to submitting plans for the site to Cheshire East Council soon,” added Mr Brown.

Guy Bowden, a partner at Bridges Fund Management which is co-funding the project, also commented, saying: “Bridges and Chancerygate have shown on multiple occasions that there is strong demand from progressive local employers for high specification sustainable industrial developments which ultimately helps to create jobs and support the growth of the local economy.”
