Fulfilment provider Huboo is creating over 400 new full and part time warehouse jobs in Wiltshire with the launch of a new facility.
The new 10,000 square metre warehouse is to be built in Chippenham and will be twice the size of any of Huboo’s existing facilities in the United Kingdom.
The Bristol-headquartered firm has chosen Chippenham’s St Modwen Park for the new distribution and logistics hub, creating hundreds of warehouse jobs for the area.
The vacancies could be of particular interest to students studying in Bath, which is only around 13 miles away.
Most of the warehouse roles on offer at Huboo in Wiltshire will be within the company’s orders, shipping and returns operations - with some higher level positions up for grabs for people with more experience.
Announcing the new vacancies in Chippenham, Martin Bysh, the chief executive officer and co-founder of Huboo, said: “Our UK growth trajectory is a vital part of our strategic plans and we’re delighted to mark this with the opening of our biggest facility to date, despite recent market uncertainties.”
“We’re confident that the UK’s retail sector will make a strong post-pandemic recovery and, in the meantime, we’re happy to support regional talent and the local economy with the creation of a wide range of new job opportunities, all driven by our leading technology and world-first microhub model,” added Mr Bysh.
Huboo’s chief operating officer, Allan Blakeley, also commented, saying: “We recognise that Chippenham is a thriving town with a growing business community and we look forward to contributing towards its future success, while we remain focused on serving our existing customers and exploring new opportunities. We chose this as our ideal location because of its strong transport links to a host of major UK cities and ports.”
