Aston Martin Creating 400 New Jobs In The UK

Car maker Aston Martin has announced plans to create 400 new jobs in the United Kingdom.

250 of the jobs will be based at the company’s main base in Gaydon near Stratford-upon-Avon, whilst the other 150 will be located in St Athan, South Wales.

All of the vacancies are agency roles for technicians and the hiring spree will add sixteen percent to Aston Martin’s current headcount of around 2,500 members of staff.

The recruitment drive comes as Aston Martin looks to launch a handful of new models throughout 2024.

New recruits will start work for the car manufacturer in March and recruitment for many of the vacancies is already underway.

Announcing the new positions, Chief People Officer at Aston Martin, Simon Smith, said: “We are delighted to be able to increase our manufacturing team across both our facilities in Gaydon and St Athan, creating further employment opportunities for our local communities.”

“These 400 agency roles, supporting our production plans and introduction of thrilling new products, are a fantastic opportunity for new team members to join us and play their own part in our iconic brand's next chapter,” added the CPO.

Although all of the roles are for agency staff, Aston Martin has a history of converting flexible workers into permanent employees. Indeed, just at the start of last year, the company made an offer for all existing agency workers to join their ranks on a permanent basis.
