Easy Bathrooms has announced plans to create around 200 new full and part time jobs in Wakefield.

The company is spending an investment of almost £10 million in the region, building a new 30,000 square metre headquarters in Wakefield’s Calder Park.

The new jobs in Wakefield will include a variety of full and part time roles including warehouse positions - along with vacancies in the company’s finance, operations and marketing departments.

The 200 vacancies in the West Yorkshire city are expected to be filled before the end of 2022 and recruitment will get underway in the next few months.

Easy Bathrooms already employs around 650 members of staff across its operations, so the latest hiring spree will see the firm increase its headcount by over 30 per cent.

Announcing the recruitment drive for new staff in Wakefield, the founder and managing director of Easy Bathrooms, Craig Waddington,said:

“This move is the culmination of years of hard work and meticulous planning from our team, and I couldn’t be prouder to be creating jobs and supporting the thriving economy of Wakefield; the place where we opened our third showroom and home to one of my founding directors, Steve Browett.”

“This year, we will open our 140th store. Wakefield will sit at the nucleus of this growth and be the beating heart of our business, so we truly believe that the site, which was previously designated as land for office space, will become an asset to the local vicinity,” added Mr Waddington.
