Stadium, a security firm, is creating almost 300 new full or part time jobs in Coventry.

With a resurgence in sporting and other events as the effects of the pandemic recede, the Wyken-based company is looking to hire around 280 new staff in the West Midlands region.

The new recruits will be hired on a contract basis and the Coventry vacancies are expected to be filled within the next few weeks.

Stadium works on behalf of many clients, including Burnley FC, Liverpool FC and Wolverhampton Wanderers. They have also provided their services for other big events such as the Olympic Games, the Commonwealth Games, the Rugby World Cup and many other concerts, festivals and conferences.

Some of the new roles on offer for their 2022 season include customer service stewards, spectator safety stewards and door supervisors.

Stadium says that previous experience is an advantage when applying for the new vacancies, but is by no means essential. For anyone that joins the firm without prior experience of the industry, Stadium is willing to provide full training.

Launching the recruitment drive for new staff in Coventry, Stadium’s founder and owner, David McAtamney, said: “We have won some exciting new contracts for 2022 and the fact we are continuing to recruit and expand is a fantastic show of confidence in our industry, especially after the past couple of years.”

“There’s lots happening in the sporting and recreation calendar this year across our region which is fantastic to see. The year is already lining up to be one of our busiest ever with new work home and abroad, but as a West Midlands company it is great to be able to offer so many jobs locally,” added Mr McAtamney.
