New Hotel To Create Dozens Of Full & Part Time Jobs In Bristol

A brand new hotel is set to create dozens of full and part time jobs in Bristol when it opens its doors to the public.

The 4-star hotel is being built on the former site of Bristol’s historic Edward Everard's Printing Works and will boast more than 250 bedrooms when complete.

Around 80 full or part time hotel jobs will be created at the accommodation hub on the corner of Bristol’s Broad Street and Nelson Street.

Jobs on offer include a range of typical hotel positions such as receptionists, cleaners and porters, as well as many food, drink and other hospitality and catering roles.

Although the official opening date of the hotel is still to be announced, the new property is expected to be ready for business before the end of April at the latest.

To be managed by Dalata Hotel Group, an Irish firm, the new Bristol hotel will be branded as part of the Clayton chain.

As well as 255 rooms at the hotel, the new Bristol scheme will also include a gym, conference facilities, a bar & restaurant, retail outlets, residential studio apartments and co-working space.

Announcing the new venture, Donna Fionda, Dalata Hotel Group’s manager of Human Resources for the new hotel, said:

“The new hotel is right in the heart of the city, perfect for exploring all that is great about Bristol while it is also the ideal location for business meetings.”

"We want to take our place in the Bristol community and work with schools, colleges, different groups and charities to showcase the wide-ranging career paths that exist within the hospitality industry.

“We are also determined to work with those within the local community who are passionate about making Bristol the go-to city to work in and live in,” added Ms Fionda.
