The Alcedo Care Group has announced plans to create 750 full or part time jobs in North West England.

The company forecasts that it will create around 100 care jobs at each of its five existing bases in the North West - Blackpool, Lancaster, Preston, Southport and Wigan (which also services nearby St Helens).

Alcedo is also expanding into five new locations in the North West over the next year, in a move that will generate a further 250 jobs for the region.

The care firm, founded just three years ago, hired almost 100 new staff in the first month of 2021 and is setting its sights on adding dozens more staff throughout each month of the year.

Announcing the hundreds of new jobs for the region, Alcedo Care Group’s managing director, Andy Boardman, said:

“As we continue to grow at each of our existing offices across the North West, and with an additional five offices due to open, recruitment will play a key part of our strategy this year. We have forecast approximately 750 permanent positions and are proud to be able to provide significant job creation across the North West after such a difficult year due to the pandemic.”
