Two Firms To Create 230 Call Centre Jobs In Sheffield

Two firms have announced plans which should see them create at least 230 full or part time call centre jobs in Sheffield.

CC33 has 150 new jobs on offer, whilst EC Outsourcing says it needs to recruit 80 new staff in the South Yorkshire city.

Both companies have experienced a strong increase in demand for their services during the Coronavirus outbreak, leading to both firms expecting to double their staff headcount in Sheffield in the next few months.

CC33, which says it has witnessed ‘massive growth’ during the lockdown era, has not only announced new jobs in Sheffield, but is also recruiting in the nearby Yorkshire town of Rotherham too.

Roles on offer at CC33 include telesales staff, team managers and vacancies within the operations and quality control departments.

Meanwhile, EC Outsourcing, which works with clients in energy, finance, gaming and other sectors is hiring dozens of new staff to fill vacancies in both their offices and in work from home positions.

Announcing the recruitment drive at his firm, the managing director and founder of CC33, Paul Fletcher, said: “Our city has really felt the impact of the Covid-19 crisis, especially economically, so it’s fantastic to be able to provide opportunities to those who might have lost their income during this time.”

“I’m extremely proud of my team who have worked extremely hard in order to drive the growth of CC33 despite the unprecedented circumstances we have found ourselves in,” added Mr Fletcher.

A spokesperson for EC Outsourcing, said: “We've been operating in Sheffield for around eight months now and currently employ 80 people doing outbound sales for a number of our clients. We have had some good news from a couple of our clients who are looking to grow their campaigns meaning we are going to be creating another 80 jobs within the next three months.”

“Even though we are living through these terrible times, we have the opportunity to offer anyone who has lost their job a chance of a new start and to help get their careers back on track,” added the spokesperson.
