Bradford-based supermarket chain Morrisons has announced its recruitment plans for Christmas 2022 and is looking to hire 3,500 seasonal staff this year.

With FIFA’s football’s winter World Cup also taking place over a similar timeframe to the run up to Christmas, Morrisons is hiring 500 more temps this year than it did in 2021.

A mix of full and part time jobs are up for grabs for the company’s busiest periıod of trading and many of the vacancies are perfect for students even staying at university or returning to their hometowns for the holidays.

Just some of the roles on offer this Christmas at Morrisons include:

- Customer assistants

- Bakers

- Warehouse operatives

- Machine operatives

- Production operatives

- Home delivery drivers

- Managerial roles

As an added incentive, Morrisons is offering all staff a 15 per cent in-store discount as well as flexible shifts.

Launching this year’s seasonal recruitment push, Clare Grainger, the People Director for Morrisons, said: "Ahead of the festive season, we are looking for 3,500 Christmas helpers to come and join our fast-moving and exciting team on a temporary or permanent basis”

“There are lots of great opportunities in our various stores and sites across the UK to help people develop new skills and make and deliver the items our customers love to enjoy when celebrating the festive season,” added Ms Grainger.
