More Buckingham Palace Jobs For The Summer Through E4S We are very proud and excited to announce that The Royal Household will once again be advertising their summer jobs through the E4S website for the coming year.

How would you like the chance to work at Buckingham Palace, The Queen’s Gallery or the Royal Mews during The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year?

Each year, The Royal Household recruits over 300 temporary staff to help them welcome and serve over 400 thousand visitors to The Queen’s London home.

Last year, The Royal Household advertised 5 different types of summer job through E4S, but for the Diamond Jubilee year they have an extra role on offer through our website – meaning that there will be 6 roles for students to apply for before the end of January. Interviews for the summer jobs at The Royal Household will take place in February and March.

The extra position on offer next summer is for Warden Supervisors, so our full list of job descriptions for Summer 2012 at The Royal Household looks like this:

Led by the supervisors, the ticket sales teams will be set targets for selling tickets and souvenir guidebooks, both by telephone and at various points on-site.

The retail team is in charge of selling a wide variety of Royal merchandise at various shops along the visitor routes at Buckingham Palace.

The team of wardens and supervisors will provide information to visitors and keep an eye on the safety and security of both the visitors and the buildings of the Palaces.

The assistant positions and warden summer jobs pay students £6.40 an hour plus £0.77 paid holiday – and the supervisory roles pay £8 an hour with £0.97 paid holiday.

All of the roles will require students to be available from early June 2012 right through until early October. Each of the positions is on a rota basis and regular weekend work will be expected.

As all of the roles require exceptional customer service skills, The Royal Household is looking for students and other young people who are confident, approachable and responsible and who have good communication skills.

If you have all of those qualities then you have a chance of working for The Royal Household during the The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year next summer.

Please note that the application closing date for all of these Royal Household summer jobs is 30 January 2012 – so don’t leave it too long before you apply. In fact, why not get in early and apply now for the positions you are interested in by clicking the jobs description links above?
