Tesco Ramps Up Graduate Job Numbers For 2010

14 Jul 2010

Tesco Ramps Up Graduate Job Numbers For 2010 Tesco, the supermarket giant, have brought some good cheer to the graduate job market with news that they expect to take on 10 per cent or more graduates in Autumn this year than they did in 2009.

And the good news is that some of those graduate jobs for the September 2010 intake are still up for grabs. Although some of the Tesco graduate schemes for 2010 have now been filled, there are still graduate vacancies in the UK & Ireland Support Office, Buying, Merchandising and Technology Leadership programmes.

Tesco run 17 different graduate job schemes across a range of skill bases such as Store Management, Office and Distribution Management. The company has over 2,000 outlets in the UK and employs approximately 470,000 staff around the globe.

Hayley Tatum of Tesco, said that the global retailer continues to support graduate job recruitment as the supermarket business continues to expand at pace. She said that Tesco was committed to finding the best graduate talent for future years.

Tatum sought to position themselves as champions of the graduate job recruitment market saying that, “As more and more graduates join a pool of university leavers who are still yet to land their first job, we are actually increasing our graduate intake for schemes starting this September and continue to operate a rolling programme for some of our graduate schemes throughout the year.”

We at E4S are also champions in the field of graduate recruitment so we are always striving to find the best graduate jobs to advertise on our website. Have a search through our latest graduate job vacancies now by starting at our Graduate Job homepage.
