It might be the end of November, but there’s still time to find a Christmas job to help you recoup some of the cash you’ve already spent this year. You’ll earn good money, in what is usually a good fun position, and you’ll be piling up the work experience to make your CV stand out from the crowd.
So, where can you still find a Christmas vacancy for 2016?
Right here on the e4s website, of course! We still have tons of recruiters looking to fill a whole range of Christmas vacancies across various sectors – and in all parts of the country. Here’s just a few ideas for you…
Last Minute Christmas Jobs In London
London is host to a plethora of events all through the calendar year, but, in the run up to Christmas, the city is literally buzzing with every sort of event imaginable.
There’s VIP parties, film premieres, sports events, concerts, charity dos, festivals, exhibitions and product launches galore at this time of year. And don’t forget that almost every workplace in London will be having some sort of Christmas party some time in December too.
All of these events need quality staff to make sure they run smoothly, so there are hundreds of events jobs up for grabs each day and in every corner of London in the next few weeks. Job roles include everything from bar staff to meeters and greeters or from cloakroom attendants to waiters and catering staff.
There are flexible hours on offer – indeed, with many of the bigger recruiters for events, you can pretty much pick your own shifts. So, if you don’t fancy working one night or you’ve got other commitments, then there’s no pressure for you to put in a shift.
To get you started, here are some of the events recruiters which regularly advertise a whole host of events jobs in London through the e4s website:
- Brightsparks Recruitment – Event, temp & promo work this Xmas
- High Society – Getting set for their biggest Christmas season EVER with loads of really exciting and fantastic events
- RE Events – an enviable reputation for supplying the very best hospitality personnel to many of London’s most prestigious venues
- JAM Staffing – work at venues across London, so regardless of where you live they should be able to offer you plenty of shifts between now and Christmas
- Contract Options – from Christmas parties to company events, you will be working with some of the UK’s top catering companies at some of London’s greatest venues
Put your name down with one or more of those agencies and you should have no shortage of work this Christmas. And, whatsmore, as well as getting paid a great hourly wage, you might have the chance to earn some good tips when many of the guests are feeling particularly festive!
Another great thing is that if you impress one of these events recruiters then the work won’t dry up the moment you’ve opened your Christmas gifts. These guys have events jobs on offer every month of the year. So, buckle down and prove your worth in the next few weeks and you could be set up with flexible work for the whole of next year and beyond.

Late Christmas Vacancies In Other Parts Of The UK
Okay, it’s fair to say that London probably has more events per square metre than any other city or town in the UK, but, at this time of year, they certainly don’t have a monopoly.
There are Christmas parties, VIP events, football matches, gigs and more in every nook and cranny of Britain. So, of course, there are recruiters in every town and city looking for hard working staff on a temporary basis in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
Some of the firms listed above have vacancies outside of London too, so do some homework to see if any of them are looking for staff in your area this Christmas. Another good agency to check out for nationwide work at Christmas (and other time of the year for that matter!) is At Your Service who also need events staff on a regular basis.
If you are studying up in the North of England, then you should have a look over the vacancies with CGC Event Caterers who are looking for Christmas staff for Pontefract Racecourse and at many other sporting venues in the region.
With everyone trying to think of original presents to give their friends and family as Christmas gifts, retail is also another great sector for holiday jobs every year. There will more than likely be niche retailers and pop up stalls in your local shopping centres in the next few weeks, all of which could be looking for temporary staff.
And, of course, the old favourite fallbacks for Christmas gifts – such as jewellery, for example – never go out of fashion. So, the big jewellery chains will always be on the hunt for some diamond staff during December. For example, check out these Ernest Jones & & H. Samuel vacancies that we are trying to fill in various UK locations right now.
Or, how about this for an idea? Instead of worrying about trying to find a retail job where you’ll be looking after everyone else who is buying Christmas presents, why not get paid for doing your own Christmas shopping?
