CeX specialises on the second-hand exchange market in computing, video games, mobile phones, TVs and other technology products. CeX was founded by Paul Farrington and Robert Dudani with their first outlet just off London’s Tottenham Court Road. By 1997, the duo had moved outside of the capital, opening a store in Birmingham. The following year a further five CeX stores were added outside of London and the company went from strength to strength thereafter.
As well as becoming a success story in Britain with hundreds of store openings over the next couple of decades, CeX also branched out overseas and now has over 500 stores around the world, with operations in Australia, Ireland, India, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland,Portugal, Spain and the United States.
