Stockton-on-Tees Council will soon be on the lookout for 30 new apprentices to join them in September 2023.
The 30 apprenticeships will be split between four types:
- Adult and Children's Social Care Apprenticeships
- Business and Support Service Apprenticeships
- Education and Training Apprenticeships
- Housing and Benefit Apprenticeships
The opportunities are set to go live on the Council’s website at the end of this week (Friday 26th May 2023) and there will be an open day to showcase the apprenticeships on 31st May between 2pm and 6pm at Stockton-on-Tees Employment and Training Hub in Wellington Square.
You don’t need to book a spot at the open day, so just go along next Wednesday if you are interested in the apprenticeships and would like to know more about them.
You can also contact Stockton Council’s Human Resources team on 01642 528277 for more info - or send them an email at [email protected].
Launching the recruitment drive for dozens of new apprentices, Stockton Council’s apprenticeship page says:
“We are looking to recruit to a number of apprenticeship opportunities across a range of professions, as part of our annual apprenticeship programme. We have an excellent track record of recruiting and supporting apprenticeships, with over 150 apprenticeships created across a range of services since 2019. Many have gone on to secure permanent positions within the Council.”
As for the sort of apprentice they are hoping to recruit, the Council’s website offers this:
“We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic people who want a rewarding career and a chance to support the people of our borough. We expect our apprentices to be committed towards their own learning and personal development, and to achieve their qualification. It will be hard work, but in return we offer a supportive environment where we encourage you to reach your full potential.”
