Intern Placement

Are you a University Student in your 2nd or 3rd year studying Chemical Engineering? Are you now looking for a one-year intern placement?

Here at Saint-Gobain Formula, we’re offering a Process Engineering placement at our site in Newark, Nottinghamshire. This will be based onsite 5 days a week. Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am till 4pm.

What will I be doing?

• active member of Process team investigating reactive issues.
• breakdowns and assisting with root cause analysis activities
• with Operators and Control Engineers on project works and reactive works.
• daily, weekly and monthly KPIs on team improvement boards (Including project boards, Pillar boards and central systems)
• environmental and cost saving projects
• team on developing systems on data collection and process data collection.
• in an active manufacturing site

What will I need to be considered?

• Must be in an active university course studying Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (2nd or 3rd year)
• of Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics &, Heat and Mass Balance)
• to working cross-functionally and communicate effectively.
• and identify process bottlenecks from upstream to downstream, throughput capacity, limitations and opportunities for improvement.
• UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
