With us, you’ll always be moving forward.What does our taxtechnology team do?Taxtechnology is the use of software, data and analytics to automate andstreamline tax processes, such as calculating, reporting and filing taxes. Taxtechnology can help organisations to ensure they comply with the tax laws andregulations in different jurisdictions, as well as to improve the accuracy andefficiency of their tax operations.Ourtax technology team works with various tax specialisms,such as indirect tax (e.g., VAT), corporate tax, personal tax and employer tax.These are different types of taxes that businesses and individuals must deal with.Wehelp organisations to implement and optimise tax technology solutions that canhandle the complexity and volume of tax data, as well as to adapt to thechanging tax landscape. We also use data analytics to analyse tax data afterany tax has been calculated to help flag potential errors and identifyopportunities for improvement.Taxdigitalisation is a global trend that is transforming the way tax authoritiescollect and use tax information. In the UK, HMRC’s flagship initiative called“Making Tax Digital” aims to make tax administration more effective, efficientand easier for taxpayers. This initiative will affect various tax domains inthe next 5-10 years, requiring businesses and individuals to report moretransactional data and to ensure the quality of their tax data.Ourtax technology team can help businesses and individuals to prepare for thistransition and to leverage the benefits of tax digitalisation, such asincreased transparency, reduced risk and enhanced decision making.What can youexpect?RSM’s early digital careers programme offers a range ofinformal and formal development opportunities. From day one, you will join with trainees acrossthe firm to receive core training in professional and soft skills. Alongsidethis you will benefit from specific technology skills training focussed on ourdigital and data services, for example Agile project delivery, as well aslearning how to use our core tools, including Alteryx and Power BI. We willalso support professional qualifications for Tax and digital skills.Following yourbasic enablement, you’ll join colleagues in delivering live client engagements.No two journeys will be the same, as each client experience is different, butyou’ll have the opportunity to learn from experienced members of the team andunderstand how digital and data projects are delivered. This hands-onexperience is invaluable as you take the next steps in your career.What we look for

As a digitaladvocate, you will be expected to share your knowledge and insights with yourcolleagues and clients and help them embrace the opportunities and challengesof the digital era.You may be workingon multiple projects at the same time, so time management and organisationalskills are key. Confidence with numbers and business awareness is a must, butyou’ll also need excellent communication skills and be able to forge strongworking relationships with people from all backgrounds. You will need:

112 UCAS (new tariff) across 3 A Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification or 104 UCAS (new tariff) across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers.

A predicted or obtained honours degree.
