Job Description

We are seeking an Apprentice Chef to join the talented team at ourCommercial Kitchen, to train and develop into a qualified chef. Our kitchen produces a range of salads, quiches, ready-to-eat meals and meats, and marinated meats. You will also work closely with our small goods manufacturing and butchery operations on site.You will need: Willingness and enthusiasm to complete an apprenticeship by undertaking a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. A love of working with food and people. Good communication skills, strong written and spoken English. Energy, initiative and willingness to take direction. The ability to follow company procedures and regulations, particularly regarding cleanliness, food handling and workplace health and safety. Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality control and presentation of products Physical fitness for lifting and standing. Full-time availability. Your own transport (6am shift start time) This role requires a high level of physical fitness and stamina, to enable you to stand for long periods and perform manual handling, bending and lifting/moving of items (from 16-55kg, in line with Australian Work Safe standards).
