Today, our Mystery Guests visit over 6000 restaurants, pubs and hotels, as well as contract caterers in over 20 countries. Their feedback is used by hospitality operators to assess how the actual experience of their guests measures against their intended experience.
The important role of a Mystery Guest involves volunteering time to assess venues; often it’s a meal out for two, sometimes lunch for the whole family, a few drinks after work, or an overnight stay in a hotel. They then complete a detailed report on their experience and in return, they are reimbursed for all or most of the cost. This feedback is then used by operators to improve the experience for future guests.
