REC's annual temp week is in June

16 Apr 2008

REC's annual temp week is in June National Temp week will show employers that temps mean business, according to its organiser.

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation's (REC) national temporary workers week intends to demonstrate the broad range of professions and industries that temps work in.

Students who work as temps in order to support their studies could be happy to hear that the annual event aims to promote the contributions of the temporary workforce.

"With attitudes to work changing and variety and flexibility increasingly seen as key indicators of job satisfaction 'temping' is becoming the choice of more and more workers," an REC statement said.

As part of the week's activities, the REC is running the 'one in a million award scheme' which recognises achievements across a variety of sectors.

The awards will be presented at the House of Commons during national temporary workers week, which runs from June 2nd to 6th.

REC is the trade body that supports and represents the recruitment industry and has more than 8,000 member agencies.
