Holman, a global vehicle firm based in New Jersey, United States, is creating 100 new full or part time jobs in the West Midlands.

The automotive company, which has its UK headquarters in Chippenham, Wiltshire, is taking on dozens of staff at new offices just off the M6 in Solihull’s Birmingham Business Park.

Holman currently employs around 200 members of staff at its Chippenham base so the recruitment drive in Solihull will add a further 50 per cent to the company’s headcount in the UK.

Once all new positions are filled, including vacancies for customer service staff and maintenance technicians, Holman will provide jobs for over 300 people at its two centres in the UK.

Announcing the hiring plans at his firm, Holman UK’s managing director, Nick Caller, said: “Holman is continuing its extraordinary growth in the UK so we are delighted to have chosen Solihull as the location for our next strategic move.”

“The West Midlands is historically a focal point for the automotive industry in the UK and the pool of talent relating to our industry is strong here. As a family-owned company, we thrive on an atmosphere of caring, fairness and transparency.”

Karen Grinsell, deputy leader for Solihull Council, welcomed the news, saying: “Holman is the latest in a wave of innovative international companies that have been drawn to UK Central, which offers businesses a compact, central and globally connected location to grow.”
