Parkdean Resorts has launched a massive recruitment drive to fill around 10,000 seasonal vacancies at its holiday parks across the United Kingdom this year.

The company, the UK’s biggest operator of holiday park resorts, is also taking on 750 new permanent staff during 2023.

The hiring spree will see Parkdean Resorts taking on an average of more than 150 seasonal staff at each of its 60+ holiday parks across the UK.

The number of vacancies up for grabs in 2023 almost matches the intake for Parkdean Resorts last year, when the firm took on 11,000 new full and part time staff in seasonal and permanent roles.

Just some of the vacancies on offer at Parkdean Resorts holidays parks include:

- Bartenders

- Chefs

- Cleaning staff

- Kitchen staff

- Lifeguards

- Receptionists

- Security officers

- Waiters/waitresses

Parkdean Resorts also offers a number of apprenticeships and, at its head offices in Gosforth in Newcastle, it actually took on a record number of finance apprentices in 2022.

In total, across all of its business operations, Parkdean Resorts provide a range of over 200 different career paths.

Kickstarting the huge recruitment drive for seasonal staff in 2023, the Director of Human Resources at Parkdean Resorts, Lisa Charles-Jones, said: “A career in hospitality is truly rewarding and we’re delighted to be hiring so many new recruits this year.”

“We have a range of positions available and each plays a crucial role in our business, so we’re really looking forward to welcoming some new faces to the team, as well as familiar faces who’ve worked with us before, and encourage anyone who’s interested to apply.”

“Working at Parkdean Resorts means making a real difference to our holidaymakers and homeowners and helping them to create lasting memories with their families, so this is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and develop some new skills,” added Ms Charles-Jones.

Offering some insight into what working at a Parkdean holiday park might be like, the company’s recruitment pages say:

“Ever imagine working a stone’s throw away from a gorgeous beach, or having views of the idyllic countryside? Our 66 holiday parks are located in unrivalled rural and coastal locations, offering our colleagues the chance to work in some of the UK’s most picturesque spots. We think our locations are pretty hard to beat.”

“Working on park has an exciting and busy atmosphere, where no two days are the same. We’re looking for people who have outstanding customer service skills and who can help create amazing memories for our guests.”
