PwC Most Popular Graduate Job Provider Those of you attempting to chase down a graduate finance job will not be too surprised to hear that PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) has been voted the most popular graduate employer in The Guardian’s UK300.

PwC, one of the leading professional services firms in the world, finished top graduate employer overall and also led the field in both the Accounting and Financial Management and the Consulting categories too. It is the second year in a row that they have taken the Accounting and Financial Management crown. They have actually moved up from sixth last year to first this year in the Consulting sector.

PwC employ around 16,000 staff in the UK and will have somewhere in the region of 1,200 graduate finance jobs and other graduate roles on offer for 2011.

Head of student recruitment at PwC, Richard Irwin, said: "We're well known for our accounting and tax training, but we've matched that investment in our consulting team over the past few years. We've expanded vacancies at intern and graduate levels two years in a row, and this year we'll recruit around 200, which is double last year's target. We have ambitious growth plans for the business so this is another vote of confidence in our strategy to attract – and be – the best in the business."

The opinions of over 17,000 students and graduates are canvassed to produce the annual roll call of the employers most valued by graduates.
