IT Jobs Top 1 Million For 2012

21 Dec 2012

IT Jobs Top 1 Million For 2012 The Daily Telegraph reports that over one million jobs in IT have been advertised throughout 2012.

The surge in demand for tablets, smartphone apps and shopping online has led to a huge increase in the number of graduate and other IT vacancies available in the UK - and the sector shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

Not only are the number of graduate IT jobs and general technology jobs increasing across the United Kingdom, so are the wages that go with them. The Telegraph reports that the typical salary for an iPhone developer has shot up by more than 25 per cent to over £43,000.

Financial advisers are also increasingly in demand and are too seeing salary rises of over 20 per cent. There were also hundreds of thousands of vacancies advertised in the health care sector, but, unfortunately, the wage increases in the NHS and related jobs are nothing like as impressive as the IT and finance sectors.

So, with over one million jobs a year being advertised and starting salaries rising way beyond the average, would you be interested in pursuing a career in the IT industry?
