In the latest update to our recent spate of good news on Christmas jobs for 2011, Argos has said this week that they will need 12,000 little helpers for the festive season. And, the North West will be pleased to hear that up to 500 of these Asda Christmas vacancies will be jobs in the Manchester region.

Argos will be looking to start recruitment for these Christmas holiday jobs as early as next month so that they will be fully prepared for the busy shopping days leading up to Christmas.

The catalogue company has around 750 stores in the UK and, with 12,000 Christmas jobs available for 2011, there’s a very good chance that your local Argos will have at least a few full or part time vacancies for the holiday period.

Speaking of the Argos Christmas jobs that will be coming to the North West, managing director at Argos, Terry Duddy, said: “Argos is a fun, interesting and busy place to be over Christmas so we are excited about finding passionate and enthusiastic staff that can join the teams in Manchester. With over 70 million customers passing through our doors over the period, the new recruits will really help us deliver great customer service this Christmas.”

In a similar vein to the incentive for Christmas jobs at Boots, both new and existing workers at Argos will be entitled to a ten per cent discount in Argos stores.
