The role of Director of Development emerges from the school’s strategic development aims as Aldro seeks to establish its reputation as a leading independent prep school in Surrey. It is a new and exciting role and a confident expression of the school’s ambitious aims for the future. Following a period of rapid growth in pupil numbers, including the school’s move to co-education in 2021, Aldro is currently flourishing. With a thriving future ahead, the role of Director of Development will help the school to realise its ambitious plans for the future.The Director of Development will report directly to the Head, and through the Head to the Chair of Governors and the Board. They will serve as a co-opted member of the school’s Senior Leadership Team for matters pertaining to development. They will oversee the operational responsibilities of the Development Office whilst shaping the strategy and goals of both alumni relations and development activities. They will work out of the Admissions, Marketing and Development Office, thus facilitating relationships and communication with key staff. They will be a highly-organised individual with excellent attention to detail and a strong communicator.
