We hope that is you and look forward to you joining the team!What you will doLeonardo’s two-year Material Controller Business Apprenticeship scheme provides a variety of experiences through placements in business-related disciplines, working on real projects alongside specialists in the world of business. You will rotate around different areas of our hiring functions gaining experience of the different teams and work/projects specific to your department in Edinburgh.During each placement, you will be working within cutting-edge facilities, learning how the various business areas operate and collaborate together to support projects, discovering how projects are run, managed and delivered, and having opportunities to liaise with customers and suppliers.Key ResponsibilitiesWe need people who not only understand the importance of fulfilling the needs of our Customers and company business objectives, but who are also ready to embrace an ethos of continuous improvement and personal development through committing to a structured 2-year learning programme. At the end of the programme, you will emerge as a highly qualified member of your team equipped to contribute actively to the success of a variety of world leading projects.During your apprenticeship, you will study with one of our academic partners to complete a Business Level 3 Apprenticeship. You will achieve this qualification through a combination of day release plus experience in the workplace.Year 1:Through a series of rotational placements you will gather real work evidence such as reflective accounts which describe day-to-day tasks you have completed and highlight the key business competencies demonstrated. You will gather this evidence, which demonstrates your development into a well-rounded business person through on-the-job training, gaining the essential practical skills needed to succeed.Year 2:Following completion of a number of placements, you will enter a final placement, increasingly focussing on one particular discipline. This targeted learning allows you to build on your skills and knowledge and to develop into a valuable member of the department, and will provide you with the final pieces of evidence required to move into the assessment phase and complete your Apprenticeship.You will also work towards an SVQ in Business Management which relates to your on site experienceWhat we are looking forQualifications2 Higher Grades (or equivalent) Mandatory: (A-C) Mathematics OR (A-C) English AND Mandatory: (A-C) Business subject (examples; Business Studies, Project/Business Management, Finance, Accounts etc.) ANDMandatory: English and Maths Standard Grades (1-3) / National 5 (A-C)MandatoryPlease note that in order to apply for this opportunity you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance.
