L7 Management Accountant Apprentice (Cathay Investments Limited)Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls.Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legal regulations, and tax requirements.Manage the budgeting process and assist in financial forecasting.Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support.Assign tasks, set goals, and conduct performance evaluations.Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information flow. What you will do in your working dayFinancial Management:Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls.Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legal regulations, and tax requirements.Manage the budgeting process and assist in financial forecasting.Team Leadership:Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support.Assign tasks, set goals, and conduct performance evaluations.Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information flow.Financial Reporting and Analysis:Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial results.Identify risks and opportunities and recommend strategies for improvement.Collaborate with auditors and support the annual audit process.Compliance and Internal Controls:Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.Implement and monitor effective risk management practices.Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for streamlining accounting processes and enhancing efficiencyImplement best practices and automation tools to improve productivity.Stay updated on industry trends and accounting standards to drive continuous improvement.This role is 100% office based with the exception of one day release to attend Lectures.The training you will be gettingAs an Accounting Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Accountancy Taxation Professional Apprenticeship at Level 7. Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the ACCA professional qualification.The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace.What to expect at the end of your apprenticeshipOnce Apprenticeship is complete there is opportunity to join the team on a permanent basis as a Deputy Management Account/Management Account.
