Famous the world over for their first product, the revolutionary Dyson vacuum cleaner, Dyson Ltd is a British company which specialises in the design and engineering of innovative products that work in completely different ways to similar products that are already out there on the market. These days, Dyson has products such as the vacuum cleaner, hand dryers and fans.

Founded and owned by Sir James Dyson, the company now employs over 4,500 people all over the world and recruits graduates and young people into a variety of roles. The James Dyson Award and the James Dyson Foundation is part of the company’s mission to encourage innovative design engineering design amongst students and the competition runs worldwide. Both the student and the university win a prize.
