Easy Bathrooms To Create Over 500 New Full & Part Time Jobs Across The UK

Easy Bathrooms is to create 500 new full and part time jobs across the UK with ambitious expansion plans and the launch of a new HQ and distribution facility in Wakefield.

The bathroom and tiling specialist, established in 2012, is readying a new hub at Calder Park in Wakefield which will create at around 100 to 150 head office jobs before the end of 2023.

Easy Bathrooms is also opening new stores across the UK in an expansion plan which will create a further 370 new vacancies at their expanding portfolio of outlets.

Roles on offer at the firm, including vacancies in Wakefield itself, will consist of a mix of head office positions, in-store retail jobs and warehouse opportunities.

Since the company only currently employs around 580 staff, the recruitment drive will see the firm almost double their headcount in the next 24 months.

Easy Bathrooms was already expanding at a decent rate before the pandemic struck, with around 20 new store openings each year over the last four years.

However, the lockdowns and other COVID restrictions led to further demand for Easy Bathrooms’ products, allowing them to launch 34 new branches in the last twelve months alone. The firm has also increased turnover by around a third over the last financial year.

The company now boasts 92 showrooms - and should hit the 100 milestone before the end of the year - and expects to increase that number to 175 by the end of 2023.

Announcing the expansion plans for his firm, the founder of Easy Bathrooms, Craig Waddington, said: “We have grown extraordinarily quickly, particularly during the pandemic. Our current Birstall headquarters has served us well, but in truth, we outgrew it a long time ago.”

“It’s incredible, and a testament to our warehouse team, that we’ve managed. Our stock has been spread across four smaller warehouses, which has been a logistical challenge.”

“Our new site is 18m high at the eaves, and we will have 32 dock leveller doors; meaning that our fleet of vehicles can drive straight up to the warehouse ready to be loaded quickly and efficiently. We will be able to hold 58,000 pallets and significantly increase our stock holding, which is important with the current global shipping disruptions,” added Mr Waddington.
