1,000 Work From Home Jobs On Offer At Contact Centre Firm Sensée

Contact centre recruiter Sensée has announced recruitment plans which will create 1,000 new work from home jobs following the Coronavirus outbreak.

The roles are split in half, with 500 permanent home-working positions and 500 temporary jobs up for grabs.

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to an increase in demand for home-based customer service staff, both with existing clients of Sensée - such as Allianz, Bupa and Hastings Direct - along with departments of the UK government and new clients which have come on board with Sensée more recently.

Sensée currently only employs around 700 members of staff so the recruitment drive for 1,000 new workers marks a significant increase in their headcount.

Most of the positions are for Customer Contact Advisors but there are some team manager roles on offer at the moment too.

The roles mainly involve dealing with queries and providing customer services via telephone, email, social media or instant chat. If eligible for one of the roles then you should be able to start almost immediately, with typical applications taking from 3 to 7 days to process.

Previous experience of contact centre work will be an advantage, but isn’t an essential requirement as training is offered by Sensée after a successful application.

To be eligible for the Sensée work from home jobs you’ll need to be able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week. You’ll also need a decent IT setup at home, including a Windows PC of your own, a corded phone, a headset and a landline connection with fast and reliable broadband.

WiFi-only connections are excluded by Sensée unfortunately. You can see a full outline of the IT specs you’ll need here.

Announcing the hundreds of home-based work opportunities in a press release, Sensée’s Chief Executive Officer, Mark Walton, said:

“We urgently need new home workers to help our clients support their customers through the current crisis. Over the coming months, home-working will have a crucial role to play in ensuring business continuity for private sector firms, as well as the effective management of citizen and business enquiries within the public sector.”

Working from home has always been a great option for students, but, in the current climate, it could be one of your only options for making money.
