Motorway service chain Extra MSA has said it will create 300 new full or part time jobs in Leeds.

The new £60 million facility, Leeds Skelton Lake Services on Junction 45 of the M1, is set to open later this year but recruitment is already underway for a variety of roles at the motorway services.

Positions on offer include leisure jobs and hotel vacancies, along with catering and hospitality roles.

Businesses which will open at Leeds Skelton Lake Services include Burger King, KFC, Pizza Hut, Pizza Express, Starbucks and Ramada Hotels.

Extra MSA’s Chief Executive, Andrew Long, said: “Leeds Skelton Lake Services is in the final stages of its build process. The overall new MSA facility provides an important contribution to road safety on this section of the Strategic Road Network, and will offer visitors a visually stunning place to stop off during their journey.”

“We’re delighted to have a complimentary range of selected Tenant Operators brand partners on-site, some of whom are a first for the UK motorway network.”

“In total, we’ll be providing around 300 full time equivalent roles at the site, at a range of outlets, from well-known food and beverage retailers, to business and hotel facilities. We’ve worked very closely with our brand partners and Leeds City Council in particular, to help ensure we provide a range of good job opportunities for local people,” added Mr Long.
