Norfolk Software Firm To Create 100 Tech Jobs In Norwich

Epos Now, a Norfolk-based software firm, has announced plans to create around 100 new tech jobs in Norwich.

The company is also expanding into the United States where it will create a further 100 jobs at a new base in Florida.

Epos Now specialises in electronic point of sale software and systems. It boasts over 30,000 clients in the retail and hospitality sectors and is now on the hunt for hundreds of new staff to help it further expand.

The company is now one of the top fifty fastest growing businesses in the UK and is planning to float on the stock exchange.

The 200 new jobs in Norwich and Orlando are expected to be filled in the next two years and roles to be on offer include user experience and user interface specialists (UX & UI), software developers and product development staff.

Commenting on the recruitment drive for new staff in Norwich, Jacyn Heavens, Epos Now’s chief executive, said: “The demand for our product is increasing rapidly. The high street is under extreme pressure from online technology businesses and the threat level has increased exponentially.”

“Our technology gives bricks and mortar companies the technology they need to level the playing field and compete. Over the last few years, we've learned a huge amount from mistakes we've made and we have grown from those experiences to get to a position where we really understand what our technology-based workforce wants and needs from us.”

“Part of the transition was bringing in an experienced leadership team with an operational leader and product officer from a technology PLC and a highly experienced finance and HR team to ensure we create the best possible working environment that we can be proud of. We are now first and foremost a technology business with over 70 technology partners such as BigCommerce, Xero, Deliveroo and are a strategic partner for Microsoft,” added Mr Heavens.
