Energy giant E.ON has announced plans to expand its customer service operations in the North West in a move which will create almost 100 new full or part time jobs in Bolton.

E.ON plans to take on 90 new Customer Service Advisors at their SMART Centre of Excellence at the Parklands site in Bolton before the end of 2018.

Salaries for the roles start out at £17,595 but E.ON say there is scope for that to increase to over £20,000.

Since the start of last year, E.ON have already created 300 jobs at their Bolton base and are now ploughing on with the expansion over the next three months.

Giving some details of the roles on offer, the E.ON job description says:

“As a Customer Service Advisor, you will be responsible for speaking with customers before, during and after their transition to SMART metering, delivering excellent customer service and ensuring they benefit from the product. The role is extremely rewarding and satisfaction can be taken from offering new or existing customers a potential saving on their energy bills.”

Announcing the new recruitment drive in the north west town, E.ON’s head of sales operations and transformation, Pam Boyington, said: “We’re proud to be one of Bolton’s top employers, with 1,000 talented people already based at our Parklands site and another 90 roles now available.”

“We’re really keen to hear from anyone who has a passion for delivering excellent customer service and are pleased to have welcomed Chris Green MP [Member of Parliament for Bolton West] to our offices so he can see for himself the great work our existing team are doing every day to help support our existing and new energy and solutions customers,” added Ms Boyington.
