Argos To Create 130 Full & Part Time Jobs In Stafford

Argos is boosting its customer service functions in a move which will see the retailer create 130 new full and part time jobs in Stafford.

The new roles will be within Argos’ Customer Management section at the company’s Acton Gate offices in Stafford and full training will be provided for successful candidates.

The Customer Management team deals with customer queries via channels such as telephone, Facebook, Twitter and live chat and has already hired 90 new staff this year.

Once the 130 new Argos vacancies are filled, there will be over 700 members of staff working on a full time basis or on part time contracts at the Acton Gate base.

Commenting on the new recruitment drive, the Customer Management Centre Director for Argos, Chris Stroud, said: “Providing great customer service is at the heart of what we do at Argos and that’s why we’re growing our Acton Gate team by over a third this year. Since June we have recruited 90 new colleagues and we’re now looking for 130 more helpful and enthusiastic people to join our team to deliver the fantastic service we’re known for.”

“The work is fast-paced, varied and rewarding with the potential to learn a whole set of new skills. The roles are all permanent, either full or part time and we’re looking to invest in our new colleagues and help them develop their career with us,” added Mr Stroud.

Welcoming the announcement, Stafford Councillor Frances Beatty MBE said: “It is excellent news. Argos has had a strong presence in Stafford for a long time and it really could not be better news for the area. It is providing more job opportunities and also it is a sign of how buoyant and attractive it is for businesses to come and invest here.”

If you are interested in applying for one of the Stafford jobs at Argos, get yourself along to their recruitment day at Acton Gate this Saturday (8th September 2018). If you can’t make that one, then Argos are holding another recruitment day later this month on 22nd September.

If you really can’t get to either of those events then you can also apply for the jobs online via the Argos careers website.
