As many as 8,000 new full and part time Northamptonshire jobs could be created over the next decade at Silverstone Business Park.

According to developers MEPC, the site, located next to the famous Silverstone motor racing circuit in Northamptonshire, can be doubled in size, allowing it to attract 200 new firms to the development. The expansion should lead to thousands of new vacancies in Silverstone over the next few years, with a potential 8,000 jobs created by 2025.

Commercial Director at Silverstone Park, Roz Bird, said: “Working with our partners in the UK’s high-performance technology and motor sport cluster, located in and around Silverstone Park, MEPC will create a global destination for engineering, innovation and business development.”

“Our new Silverstone Park brand, launched at the Business Expo, is about Silverstone Park being part of the high-performance technology and motor sport cluster by providing an inspirational vision of the future, creating a high quality environment to impress clients and motivate staff and promoting this exceptional opportunity on the world stage to meet and exceed our community’s expectations.”

MEPC took over the management of the Silverstone site from the British Racing Drivers’ Club towards the end of last year and has already made a number of improvements including office refurbishments, landscaping and infrastructure updates, alongside marketing and branding initiatives designed to attract new businesses.
