Over 130 New Sunderland Jobs In Car Industry
The Financière SNOP Dunois (FSD) Group is to open a new car body parts plant which will create over 130 new jobs in Sunderland over the next two years.

The France-based FSD Group have been in talks with Sunderland City Council for a year and a half and have now reached an agreement which will see them invest millions of pounds to convert an existing site in the town of Washington, Sunderland.

Tony Brown of SNOP UK said that Sunderland City Council had been extremely helpful during the discussions and that they had now found the ‘ideal location’ for their manufacturing base in the United Kingdom.

Senior executives at the FSD Group said that one of the big reasons Sunderland was chosen was that there are many experienced and skilled people in the industry who live in the city.

Speaking about the new Sunderland jobs and the coup for his city, chief executive of Sunderland City Council, Dave Smith, said: “It’s great news that a leading automotive component company has chosen to locate its first UK manufacturing facility in Sunderland. It strengthens our reputation as an automotive hub for the UK and will bring 130 new jobs to the city.”
