Debbie Davis took up a job as an Avon representative six years ago and has now become the cosmetic company’s first ever millionaire.

Miss Davis lost her job and was struggling to pay her rent and bills after being made redundant from a printing company. She applied for a job with Avon to make a few pounds selling their products but didn't anticipate how successful she would become. It cost her just £15 to become an Avon rep and she sold over £18,000 worth of goods in her first three weeks.

Now, Miss Davis,31, has a team of 8,000 people working for her and has earned £1.4 million with a turnover of £9.3 million in her time at Avon.
