Aldi To Create 1,000 New Full Or Part Time Supermarket Jobs
As part of a major hiring drive to support its store expansion between now and early 2026, Aldi is creating 1,000 new full or part time supermarket jobs across the UK.
Aldi, now the UK’s fourth-largest supermarket, is set to offer a wide range of roles, including:
- Store Assistants
- Cleaners
- Store Apprenticeships
- Trainee Managers & Assistant Managers
Whether you're looking for part-time work, a foot in the door with retail or a long-term career path, Aldi’s recruitment drive offers opportunities at every level.
Aldi is known for offering some of the best wages in the supermarket sector. Store Assistants earn a starting rate of £12.75 per hour nationally, rising to £13.66 with service.
In London, the starting pay is even better, jumping to £14.05 an hour and increasing to £14.35 over time.
Aldi is also currently the only UK supermarket chain that pays staff for their breaks, adding up to around £1,370 a year for a typical store colleague.
Jobs are being advertised now across the UK, including London and Surrey, with more locations expected to follow as Aldi continues its store rollout.
Announcing the upcoming opportunities at stores across the country, Aldi UK’s Recruitment Director, Kelly Stokes, said: “As we expand into new communities, we’re excited to bring even more people into the Aldi family.”
“We’re proud to offer not only the best pay and benefits, but also a positive working environment and real opportunities for progression,” added Ms Stokes.
Aldi currently operates over 1,050 stores and employs more than 45,000 people in full and part time roles across the country.
Whether you're a student after flexible shifts or someone looking to build a retail career from the ground up, Aldi’s latest hiring spree could be your next move.
