Company Details
We offer Store Apprentice programmes, Industrial Placement schemes plus a whole range of permanent roles. You can work part-time for 15 hours per week (or more), which will see you through college quite nicely. As a Store Assistant, you’ll earn £8.15 rising to £9.75 per hour, plus if it all goes well, you could move up to become an Assistant Store Manager. Salaries at this level start at £24,500 and rise to c£35,000 after four years. If you turn out to be a bit of a retail superstar you could even become a Store Manager and earn £37,000 which rises to c£58,000 after four years. Once you’ve graduated, well, it’s a whole different ball game. Our Area Manager scheme is available and it’s tough, tough, tough. We look for exceptional candidates (with at least a 2:1) who are ready to pop on their bathing suits and dive headfirst into the choppiest of deep ends. You see, most supermarkets give you plenty of ‘in-store experience’; at Aldi you’ll be running your own store within a few months. There’s full support and exceptional training to furnish you with all kinds of knowledge – from Employment Law and Recruitment, to Operations and Health & Safety. But the reasons why we pay such a generous salary (£42,000 to £70,000) is because we need you to be confident, fearless and ready to take on any challenge. You’re not motivated by money though. For you it’s a matter of personal pride, the feeling that you’ve pushed yourself and achieved more than you ever imagined. |
