Sainsbury’s Recruiting 22,000 Seasonal Staff For Christmas 2023
Supermarket chain Sainsbury’s has announced plans to recruit a whopping 22,000 seasonal staff in the run up to Christmas 2023.
20,000 of the temp jobs will be at Sainsbury's itself, whilst a further 2,000 Christmas vacancies will be created at Argos, which the supermarket chain also owns.
Some of the new temps will start this week, earlier than the traditional annual intake of Christmas staff at Sainsbury’s.
As well as jobs within supermarkets across the UK, there will also be plenty of full and part time warehouse vacancies on offer.
Contracts will run from as little as three weeks right up to three months and the opportunities are a great way to get a foot in the door with a top UK employer.
Sainsbury’s temporary warehouse staff and supermarket workers can look forward to pay of between £11 and £11.95 per hour, whilst drivers can earn up to £13.45.
Some perks of working for the retail chain include in-store discount of up to 15 per cent and free meals when working.
Announcing the seasonal recruitment drive this year, the Chief People Officer for Sainsbury’s, Prerana Issar, said “With Christmas just around the corner, we're gearing up to serve our customers brilliantly this festive season. This is the busiest time in the retail calendar and we are looking for people with a passion for good food who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to providing brilliant customer service.”
