PepsiCo Dares Students & Graduates To Do More

PepsiCo, the global name behind massive brands like Pepsi-Cola, Lipton, Doritos, Tropicana, Gatorade and Quaker Oats, has thrown down a challenge to students and graduates who think they can come up with the next ‘Big Thing’ in the food and drink industry.

Dubbed the ‘Dare to Do More’ challenge, successful students stand a chance of winning a place on one of three ‘PepsiCo Go’ graduate programmes

1. Insights & Analytics
2. Digital
3. Supply Chain

The PepsiCo ‘Dare to Do More’ challenge spans 12 weeks and is open to students in the Europe Sub-Saharan Africa (ESSA) region.

Almost like an episode from The Apprentice, students will be tasked with dreaming up a new food or drink product and will then pitch to PepsiCo influencers on how they would bring their ‘big idea’ to market.

As well as the chance of earning an interview for a place on the ‘PepsiCo Go’ graduate programme, students could win the top prize which is a trip to the Big Apple, New York.

PepsiCo’s ‎vice president for Insights & Analytics for the Europe Sub-Saharan Africa region, Tim Warner, ‎said: “At PepsiCo, we’re always on the lookout for the best talent and the Dare To Do More challenge is the perfect way to identify the brightest, entrepreneurial graduate minds,”

“Our Digital and Insights teams play a critical role in shaping the products of the future and how we take them to global markets. Successful graduates who join our PepsiCo Go programme will be front and centre of making critical decisions that will shape our brands; building innovation, advertising and go-to market strategies,” added Mr Warner.

The senior director for Digital at PepsiCo Europe Sub-Saharan Africa, Becky Taylor, also commented, saying:

“The Dare To Do More challenge is an exciting platform for graduates to not only put forward their own business proposals, but also kick-start their career by joining our PepsiCo Go graduate programmes.”

“We’re in our third year of running a graduate challenge, and, as a result we’re expecting the competition and ideas to be the boldest yet. If you think you’ve got the next big idea in food and drink and want to work in an exciting and vibrant company, we want to hear from you,” enthused Ms Taylor.

And, zeroing on the graduate Supply Chain roles in particular, the department’s senior vice president, Paul Campbell, said:

“The Dare To Do More challenge is a fantastic way for future talent to engage with us at PepsiCo. Supply Chain is on the verge of a massively transformational stage of its evolution, with the advent of eCommerce and new ways for consumers to connect with suppliers. Across our Supply Chain, we are looking for people with real curiosity to understand how things work today and really challenge whether we are set up for the future.”

“We are bringing state-of-the-art technology and thinking to our manufacturing and distribution operations. Joining our PepsiCo Go programme is a great opportunity for graduates to influence the future direction we take,” concluded Mr Campbell.

The PepsiCo challenge is available in regions including the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Serbia and Turkey. If you are interested in this fabulous opportunity then you can register on the PepsiCo website.
