Parcel delivery firm Yodel is looking for over 2,000 staff to join their ranks this Christmas to assist them in what will be the busiest business period of their year.

The North West firm, based in Liverpool, is hiring hundreds of full and part time staff at dozens of locations nationwide.

Although the hiring spree by Yodel is relatively big this year to some of their competitors, it doesn’t match the company’s previous intakes when they looked for 4,000 seasonal staff last year.

Announcing the festive recruitment drive at his firm, Mike Hancox, Yodel’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “Each year the industry looks to increase capacity in preparation for higher volumes over the Christmas peak, and with the continuing growth in the market we anticipate this festive season to be our busiest yet.”

“Many of the roles available represent an opportunity to grow into long-term careers with progression into more senior positions. Recently, rival delivery firm Evri announced that they are hoping to recruit 5,000 staff to help them in the run up to the 2023 holiday period and beyond.
