UK Theme Parks Start Recruitment For 2016

The jingle bells of Christmas jobs may seem like a very fresh memory, but the big UK theme parks have already started recruiting for summer work in 2016.

THORPE PARK is already advertising live vacancies through the employment4students website and Alton Towers also has over 1,200 vacancies for their 2016 season.

THORPE PARK would make a great base for seasonal work for anyone studying in Surrey - or returning there during the holidays from college or university. If you can easily reach Chertsey from where you live, and you’re hoping to pick up some flexible seasonal work later in the year (jobs are available from March to November) then get your application in with THORPE PARK as soon as possible.

Alton Towers in Staffordshire is a good option for students too. With hundreds of jobs on offer again in 2016, recruitment is already underway there too.

Alton Towers’ recruitment manager, Kerry Alcock, said: “We generally look for around 1,200 people at the start of the year to cover all the positions that will be available, and these will continue to offer flexible working patterns, full or part-time hours to suit home life commitments and an excellent starting salary. As ever, personality is more important to us than academic qualifications, but we do need people who are outgoing and who have great communications skills.”

Local MP Karen Bradley, welcomed the theme park’s announcement, saying: “I'm delighted to hear Alton Towers is starting its recruitment. It's a really important employer for local people. I know how hard the staff have worked and I wish them all well for the coming season.”

There is a good range of different types of jobs on offer at UK theme parks like THORPE PARK, Alton Towers, Legoland Windsor Chessington World of Adventures, Oakwood Theme Park and many more. Just a few of the vacancies you might see advertised include admissions staff, ride attendants, food & beverage staff, customer service roles, retail staff and entertainment teams.
