Call Care is creating 300 more full and part time call centre jobs in the UK as the company expands at its four contact centres.
The customer service firm, whose clients have included amec, Balfour Beatty, Chorley Council, City University London, Public Health England and the NHS, has already created 100 jobs since March on the back of demand during the pandemic.
They are now in a position to recruit a further 300 members of staff to work at their call centres in London, Liverpool, Salford and Shipley.
Most of the vacancies are in Salford, near Manchester but there are positions up for grabs in Liverpool and Yorkshire’s Shipley too. The 300 new jobs are to be filled in a phased approach lasting until summer 2021.
The lockdowns and restrictions caused by COVID-19 have led to more businesses outsourcing their customer services operations after a surge in queries from online shoppers and complainants.
Increased demand for call centre staff to answer queries outside traditional work hours means that flexible hours are on offer at CallCare and similar companies. Call centre staff are also classified as ‘key workers’ during the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
Explaining why the company is hiring at a time when many other organisations are cutting back on staff, CallCare’s head of client services, Gemma Harding, said: “The pandemic has forced many organisations to outsource to maintain operations and mitigate the impacts on the customer.”
“We offer a cost-effective and low-risk alternative to customer service and businesses utilising our centres can be confident that their customers are receiving the right response.”
“Since March, we have seen a seismic shift towards using customer experience centres and many companies are realising the benefits. Expanding our workforce means that as more and more companies turn to outsourcing as the ‘go to’ for customer service, we will be ready to meet their requirements.”
“With mass redundancies across the UK as a result of the pandemic, we’re really pleased to be able to offer permanent career opportunities in an industry that’s booming,” added Ms Harding.
