GCHQ, the Government’s intelligence and security organisation, has launched its Cyber Insights Summer of Learning Internship for 2020.

The Cyber Insights Summer of Learning Internship is based at GCHQ’s iconic ‘doughnut’ headquarters in Cheltenham (pictured above). The opportunity for students who are interested in a tech career pays £300 a week and offers free accommodation.

Running for ten weeks from 6th July to 11th September in summer 2020, the interns who join the scheme will work alongside world-class cyber experts learning cutting edge skills which help to keep the UK safe from threats such as cyber-attacks, terrorism and espionage.

To be eligible to apply for the Cyber Insights Summer of Learning Internship at GCHQ you will need to be graduating university between 2021 and 2024 and expecting to get at least a 2:2 in a STEM degree subject. You will also need to demonstrate that you can understand basic code in at least one language such as Python or C.
