Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and proactive porter who will be responsible for preparing conference facilities and supporting race day event setup. This role ensures all areas are set up efficiently, safely, and to a high standard, contributing to a smooth and professional experience for guests and event attendees.


Key Responsibilities Conference Setup

  • Set up and dismantle conference and meeting rooms according to event plans
  • Arrange tables, chairs, staging, signage, and presentation equipment
  • Reset spaces quickly between sessions or bookings


Event Support

  • Transport furniture, equipment, and supplies across the venue
  • Provide on-the-day support to event and operations teams
  • Respond quickly to last-minute setup changes or requests
  • Assist with post-event breakdown and clearing


Health & Safety

  • Follow all manual handling and health & safety procedures
  • Ensure walkways and event areas remain safe and hazard-free
  • Use equipment and tools correctly and responsibly
  • Report any damage to buildings or equipment


Skills & Requirements

  • Good physical fitness and ability to lift/move heavy items
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
  • Flexible availability (early mornings, weekends, race days)
  • Good attention to detail and time management
  • Previous experience in events or hospitality is an advantage


Working Conditions

  • Outdoor and indoor work in varying weather conditions
