WHERE YOU SIT

As our Credit Controller, you’ll be part of the Accounts Receivable team working closely with brilliant people across the business and reporting into Credit Control North & South Europe Team Leader. You’ll be right at the heart of fast‑moving projects that shape how we show up for our consumers - today and tomorrow.


WHERE YOU CONTRIBUTE

The Credit Controller plays a key role in safeguarding the company’s financial health by ensuring timely payment, reducing overdue debt, resolving customer account issues and maintaining accurate financial records. As part of the regional Credit Control team, this role supports disciplined working‑capital performance, strengthens customer relationships through effective communication, and enables a smooth end‑to‑end order‑to‑cash process across European markets.

This role contributes by:

  • Protecting revenue and cashflow through proactive collections and accurate account management.
  • Providing strong customer service and issue resolution that supports a consistent and high‑quality experience.
  • Ensuring accurate AR data that enables financial forecasting, operational planning and reporting.
  • Supporting standardised global ways of working across Finance while accommodating local‑market nuances.


CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

As our Credit Controller, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing customer accounts and collections across Northern and Southern European markets, proactively reducing overdue debt, securing timely payments, monitoring aged balances and identifying credit risks to protect cash flow.
  • Resolving customer account queries and disputes, working closely with Sales, Customer Service, Distribution and Finance to address invoice discrepancies, deductions and payment issues while maintaining strong customer relationships and accurate account records.
  • Supporting credit governance and compliance, ensuring adherence to credit policies, credit limits and approval processes, while contributing to account onboarding, credit reviews and risk assessments.
  • Maintaining high standards of reporting, data accuracy and financial controls, providing timely insight into overdue balances, disputes and customer risks, while ensuring documentation supports audit and compliance requirements.
  • Driving continuous improvement across Credit Control, identifying process improvements, supporting finance transformation initiatives and helping embed efficient, standardised ways of working across the function.

KEY SKILLS & CAPABILITIES

Put simply, the key things we’re looking for are:

  • Strong credit control expertise, with a good understanding of cash collection, aged debt management, credit processes and the ability to interpret financial information and identify potential customer risks.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, able to manage customer conversations confidently, balance commercial relationships with effective debt recovery, and collaborate across Sales, Customer Service, Distribution and Finance.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage high volumes of work, prioritise effectively, maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely follow-up on customer commitments.
  • Good problem-solving ability and sound judgement, able to investigate payment issues, identify root causes, recommend practical solutions and recognise when risks require escalation.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with strong systems proficiency, a commitment to continuous improvement and the resilience to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
